this page is plaintext currenly, it will be updated once i complete the various pages for my services.
1) to hire me for tutoring, a date and time must be set at least 24 hours in advance. schedules (for example, every tuesday at 5) are totally acceptable, but any changes to this must be made known 24 hours in advance. i will wait about 10 minutes but if it's after that, the date must be rescheduled to later.
2) if you consistently misgender me i will quietly up your fee. it is very stressful to hear incorrectly gendered language used for me and disrupts my working environment ^_^b i use he/him pronouns and i am a guy!
3) i reserve the right to decline to help with any content. if there is content that i am not skilled in, i don't want to teach it to you incorrectly! sometimes i will also defer to professors if it seems as if they want you to do something a certain way that i am not versed in.
4) my fees are set as a sliding scale from 20/hour - 50/hour. as i am a student and this is my main income, i would like to be paid fairly for my services, but also accept and understand that students themselves may be inquiring my services, which is why my lower end exists. if you are hiring me repeatedly over a longer span of time, fees will also decrease. if you have an issue with any pricing, please feel free to bring it up and i can give you a simple flat rate!
5) i try to keep my "office hours" open consistently; if you have a simple question you would like to ask, and i can quickly answer it, feel free to dm me if i've worked with you. these office hours vary with my class schedule but are roughly M-F, 10AM-5PM.
6) my working hours are 10AM - 8PM, every day. these are the rough hours i am willing to schedule sessions during and become more complicated when my class schedule changes. i do not have an upper limit on session lengths, but i struggle to stay focused after about 2.5 hours. if you are looking to have a longer session (such as a 1 time review for a midterm or final) please reach out beforehand and we can discuss! simiarly, i find it very tiring to tutor on consecutive days, but if it's necessary for your success, i'm willing to create a plan, although it might incur a slight additional fee on top of normal pricing.
7) i will not, under any circumstances, complete work for you. i pride myself in offering solutions for students who need different explanations for what their professor teachers that specially cater to a more whimsical view of engineering and STEM. i have enough work to do on my own, i do not want to do yours. i am more than happy to walk through an example problem, or provide guidance when you're working through problems though!
1) i charge an hourly rate of $25/hour (lower than the bottom 2% of mechanical engineers so. non negotiable) and reserve the right to add for additional fees for particularly hard features, sourcing materials, detailed drawings etc. any additional fees will be discussed beforehand (ie. if the client wishes for them to go through on production or not)
2) i always start projects with research/questions about the scope of the design and what it will be used for, so I can better understand the part and its production. i'm more than willing to explain what different terms mean, but please have these answers somewhat in mind!
3) unless otherwise discussed, i retain copyright to every part i design. the client will not file a patent for any of my parts. licenses will be discussed for parts that the client will profit off of. please respect the value i create and we'll be a swag team :o)
4) if you consistently misgender me i will up your total. it is very stressful to hear incorrectly gendered language used for me and disrupts my working environment ^_^b i use he/him pronouns and i am a guy!
